From DC's Women's March to Sundance Fest

Fresh from delivering a speech at the Women’s March in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, where she said President Donald Trump is "waging a war," actress America Ferrera is expected to participate at a panel at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday. Ferrera will join the panel “MACRO Digital: A Shift Forward,” one of many special events taking places at the Park City festival.

Panelists will take “an inside look into the business models, creative content, and audience strategy of MACRO’s initiative to create cinematic experiences for multiethnic millennials on existing and emerging platforms,” according to organizers. MACRO is a multi-platform media company that produces film, TV and digital content for African-American, Latino and multicultural audiences. The company is behind “Gentefied,” a bilingual web series about the gentrification of a popular Latino barrio in Los Angeles that is screening at Sundance. On the panel Ferrera will be joining Marvin Lemus, the director of “Gentefied.” For more information and to make reservations, click here. Check out Ferrera's speech at the Women's March in D.C.
